2012. május 14-én beregisztráltam a http://www.couchsurfing.org/ ingyenes nemzetközi szálláskereső oldalra. A honlap lényege, hogyha szállást keresel a világ bármelyik pontján pár napra, akkor ezen az oldalon keresztül alkalmad nyílik bekéredzkedni egy helyi lakó kanapéjára. Regisztráció után kitöltöd az adatlapodat: alapinformációk (szül dátum, hol laksz, szakmád stb), írsz magadról személyes információkat, később írsz saját CS tapasztalatokról, milyen embereket kedvelsz (én ide ezt írtam: "open minded, talkative, easy-going, positive, adventurous, free. Storytellers, teachers or really intelligent people. I like people who can tell a good story or teach me about things I've never even heard of."), mi iránt érdeklődsz, mi a hobbid, bemutatod a "kanapédat", azaz írsz a környezetről és a hostolásod feltételeiről. Például beállíthatod, hogy csak a saját nemedet fogadod, vagy csak hétvégén vársz vendéget, és még számos információt megadhatsz amit te fontosnak látsz előre közölni a vendéggel. Itt a saját szövegem:
I live alone in an apartment on the fashionable Rózsadomb area. I have two rooms - you can stay in one of these rooms, where I can give you blankets, towels and wifi. And you can sleep on the comfortable couch.
City center is quite close, about 30 minutes by bus. Public transport is very good to the city. I have a cat, I occasionally smoke. Feel free to smoke, but only on the balcony. Usually I'm very busy (working), weekdays and sometimes on weekends too. But usually I'm free in the evenings. I go to bed late and I wake up late too.
Preference will be given to CouchSurfers with completed profiles who read my profile info. Please include my name, Rita, in your couch request and send your request for a couch through the CouchRequest page (not as a message). The more interesting your message the better your chances of finding a host.
I prefer to host people in their 25's upwards, simply because we will have more in common in terms of life experience etc. So unless you feel you really share interests with me I suggest you find someone nearer to your own age. Thank you.
When I am out at work you will also need to leave my flat. As you are visiting Budapest and want to see as much as possible I can't see this would be a problem. I usually arrive home in the afternoon.
I really value the experience of meeting travellers through CouchSurf and learning about other countries. If you just see CouchSurf as a free hotel and you aren't interested in seeing Budapest with your host, or you will be socialising with your own friends while you are here, then please, please do not message me.
I would recommend you plan to have about $10 a day each for a budget for food etc (some days you will spend less or no money). If we go out to a nice restaurant the price usually works out around $20 at a middle class restaurant. We can go cheaper for about $10 each. On a night out I would recommend $40 for drinks which would see you nicely around town, something to eat and get you pleasantly drunk. I prefer mine guests to be easy with money rather than stuck to a tight budget and unable to go out.
